Dr. Coughlin is unable to take new clients beginning June 2024
To prepare for the appointment please have a copy of your pets’ past medical records including when vaccines were last administered, any blood testing including the results and the doctor notes. You can ask your other veterinarian to e-mail the records directly to [email protected] or have a hard copy that I may take for my records. If you are having your cat examined please place it in a small room prior to the appointment time (such as a bathroom) and close any bedroom doors. Plan for the appointment to last from 30-45 minutes. An adult with permission to authorize treatments and payment needs to be present for the appointment. Payment is due at the time of service.
We will spend several minutes going over past medical history and any on-going problems with your pet. We will discuss the current reason for the visit and then I will perform my exam and will discuss a treatment plan. There may be situations that I will recommend care at a fully-staffed facility, such as a pet that is due for vaccines but has had a past reaction. Appointments will be Monday-Friday (some exceptions may apply). Calls or emails will be returned within 1 business day (M-F from 9-6). Please allow several days for medication refills. Written prescriptions are available upon request. Click Here
If your pet is experiencing an emergency (trauma, profuse bleeding, seizure, collapse etc.) please seek emergency care - do not delay medical treatment waiting for a return call or e-mail. Below are the names and numbers of two area emergency hospitals.
